Want your child to learn the basics of music? Why not do it with a rock band! In our Intro To Music classes, we use KidzRock, a time-tested program. Kids jump between simplified guitars and basses, drums, and keyboards to play specially designed rock songs that are fun and educational. This is a perfect way for students to learn the foundations of music, while still being engaged during the whole 45-minute group lesson. Intro To Music is a ten-week program. This program is designed to get kids of various age groups playing and making music together on the piano! Lessons follow fun and interactive themes/stories and every song has multiple skill tiers so that kids can still play together regardless of their rate of progress. Students will still get solo practice time during the lesson (with headphones) where the teacher can give individual attention and instruction, but the real fun is when the music-making happens together! The lessons are structured so that everyone gets to play the same song! If a child is just starting out with us, they'll be able to play simplified versions of that song while still getting the benefits that come from making music in a group environment like aural and rhythm skills.
