Katie Yochheim
Group Classes
Katie Yochheim has had a passion for music for as long as she can remember. After singing in a local childrens’ choir for the first time at age 5, she quickly fell in love with music-making. After starting voice and piano lessons, she later learned several other instruments, including saxophone, clarinet, and guitar. Katie recently earned her Bachelor’s in Music Education from Baldwin Wallace University, where she directed the jazz a cappella group Moondaze. She completed her student teaching experience at Coventry Local Schools Middle and High School, working with students grades 5-12 spread across 8 different choral ensembles. Katie has broad vocal and instrumental music teaching experience across individual, small-group, and large-group settings and a passion for teaching the whole student. Her aim as a teacher is for every student to feel that their voice is heard and their needs are met. When she's not teaching, you can find Katie reading, hiking, lifting weights, cuddling with her dogs, and drinking lots of tea.
