Julia McDonnell is an Akron-based bassist, composer, and educator. She began studying music at age 14 after discovering a passion for jazz. Julia spent two years in Tri-C’s Pre-College Jazz Preparatory Program before continuing her education in Jazz Studies and Arts Entrepreneurship at Kent State University. She is currently an active, gigging member of the Northeast Ohio music scene and performs across a wide range of genres, including jazz, classical, rock, folk, rockabilly, and pop.
